She was predeceased by: her parents, Christine Marie Jones and Everett Lee Robinson; her grandparents, Adeline Elizabeth Jones and Earl Jones; her sister Candy Ramsey; her aunt Rita H. Davis; and her brother-in-law Timmy Moore.

She is survived by: her children, Ruben Simmons, III and Rienez Karen Marie Simmons (Tyrone Phinnessee); her grandchildren, Ruben Simmons, IV, Rah'Myier Simmons, Raniya Simmons, Sy'aerea Simmons, Rahmar Simmons and Rayonna Simmons; her great-nephew Donald Casey, Jr.; her siblings, Sharon Jones-Moore (Lisa), Donald Casey, Anthony Robinson, Evette Robinson and Alexis Johnson; her godchildren, Tarkiesha Banks, Royalty Allison and Amir Peak; and her aunts and uncles, Demerius Peacock, Earl Jones and Paris DeVon. She is also survived by eleven nephews, ten nieces, and a host of family and friends.
