She was predeceased by: her brothers, Paul Richard Bartell Jr. and Roy Phillips; her grandson Deontye T. Lott Jr.; her nephew James Slider; and her nieces, Candy Sue Almaraz and Vicky Miller.
She is survived by: her children, Laurie Amspoker, Jennifer Bartell and Joseph Bartell (Karisma); her grandchildren, Brady, Jeffrey, Jordan, Michael, April Bartell, Doryian Smith, Jerrica, Drequan Eddings, Trevona Amspoker-Davis, D'Ashontae, Shyontae and DaVeontye Lott; her great grandchildren, Rylee Pearson, Jizell Shelby, A'Riyah Griggs, Ma'Siah Brown, Willie Shropshire III and Kai'ro Pryor; and her sisters, Paula Carpenter, Dorothy Brownen, Martha Gantes and Sarah Howard. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
