It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Elizabeth Muir Speight of Akron, Ohio, who passed away on February 26, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Elizabeth departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Elizabeth. Though Elizabeth may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John McFall and Margaret McFall (Gault); and her husband Ed Speight. She is survived by: her children, Jack (Joanne), Kevin (Paula), Eddie and Debi Secrest (Brian). She is also survived by nine grandchildren and 3-1/2 great grandchildren, as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Anthony Funeral Home - Akron Chapel (1990 S Main St, Akron, OH 44301). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A reception will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 11:45 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to National Breast Cancer Foundation or the Alzheimer's Association.
