He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Smith and Vera Smith (Fawley); his wives, Jean Smith (Underwood) and Ruth; and his sister Mary McFarland.
He is survived by: his sons, Gary (Cindy) of Fountain Hills and Greg (Kim) of Long Grove, Illinois; his grandson Jeremy Smith (Tiffany); his great grandchildren, Jacob and Mackenzie of Canfield; his grandchildren, Alyssa and Evan of Long Grove, Illinois.; his stepgrandchildren, Kyle (Stephanie), Logan (Eternity), Evan (Shannon) and Connor; his stepgreat-grandsons, Jack and Keith; and his siblings, Ann Niemann, Barbara Madonio and Cecil Smith (Woodie Jean). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
