She was predeceased by: her parents, Thornton E. Gaines and Annie E. Gaines; her daughter Barbara Gaines; and her siblings, Thornton E. Gaines Jr., Juanita Standifer, Eva Gaines, Geraldine Pritchett and Barbara Lee (Alvin).
She is survived by: her daughter Simone Gaines; her grandchildren, Laevon Joseph Gaines and Shyiann Jean Gaines; her sister Elizabeth Sellers (Fredric); and her aunt Eleanor Saunders. She is also survived by cousins, faithful nieces, nephews, and friends.
