With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Donald Eugene Mathias (Akron, Ohio), who passed away on June 24, 2022 at the age of 100. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father George L. Mathias; his wife Edith E. Mathias; and his son-in-law Steven "Doc" Lakernick. He is survived by: his children, Carol Elliott (Cecil), Donna Pfost and Robert Mathias (Brenda); his grandchildren, Lisa Felch (Timothy), Scott Elliott (Jill), Rebecca Malato (Andy), Rachael Moore (Michael), Daniel Pfost and Brian Klinger (Kelly); his great grandchildren, Cami, Carter, Abigail, Lucas, Ana, Lydia, Isaac, Zoe, Levi, Micah, Deanna, Henry, Maria, Evalise, Dylan and Sam; and his friends, Jocko and Susie Q.. He is also survived by niece and many nephews.
