She was predeceased by: her husband Russell Metcalfe; her parents, Dona Brantley and Martin Brantley; and her siblings, Jean, Stephen, Judy and Sonya.
She is survived by: her daughters, Dana Tasich, Julia Brown (Chris) and Cheryl Sweitzer; her grandchildren, Jamie, Melissa, Paul (Crystal), Tim and Jessica (Tucker); her great grandchildren, Mavrick, Abigail, Logan, Parker, Zach, Lily and Isabelle; her brother Sam Brantley (Billie); her siblings-in-law, Tim Metcalfe and Rhae Zimmerman; and her friend Judy Eberly.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hennessy Funeral Home (552 N Main St, Akron, OH 44310). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery (10175 Rawiga Rd, Seville, OH 44270).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Wounded Warrior Project or St Jude Children's Research Hospital in her name.
