She was predeceased by: her parents, Eladio Pabon and Edna Pabon (Rivera); her brother Eladio Pabon, Jr.; and her brother-in-law Richard Sanchez. She is survived by: her husband Brian Nissel; her children, Michelle Nissel (Rachelle), Elizabeth Nissel (Alex Bridges) and Joseph Nissel (Bethany); her siblings, Rosalind Sanchez, Saul and Edward Pabon; her parents-in-law, Patricia and Floyd Nissel; her brothers-in-law, Mark (Colleen) and Paul Nissel (Julie); and her grandchildren, Koa, Zoey and Jackson Nissel.
