She was predeceased by: her husband Robert Mapel; and her parents, Irene Janis and Rodney Janis. She is survived by: her child Dominique Mapel (Joshua Bechter); her grandchild Maverick Bechter; her brothers, Vince and Rodney Janis; her nephews, Jason, Adam, Brad and Chad; her niece Melissa; and her close friend Kelly Wingard.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Springfield Church of the Brethren (3500 Albrecht Ave, Akron, OH 44312).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Deborah's name to The Haven of Rest, Akron, Ohio.
