He was predeceased by: his father Lew Wheatman; and his half-brothers, Don and Jack Vaughn. He is survived by: his sons, David Scanlan (Shyrllynn) and Michael Scanlan (Kristy); his grandchildren, Jordan Scanlan (Brittany), Ryan Scanlan (Jenica), Colleen Staerker (Nick), Joshua Scanlan, Steven Scanlan, Nathan Scanlan (Vicki), Hannah Scanlan and Rachel Scanlan; and his great grandchildren, Ryleigh, Jace, Reid and Gemma.
