He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert James and Agnes Mae Robinson (Magee); and his siblings, Roberta Vough and Robert Robinson. He is survived by: his wife Norma Robinson (Thornberry); his sons, David Robinson (Lisa) and Gerald Robinson; and his grandsons, Jeremy (Taylor), Ryan (Madison), Jonathan and David Tyler Robinson (Hannah).
He was inducted into the Barberton Sports Hall of Fame in 1995 as a result of his contributions to Barberton basketball.
