He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Mims-Nelson of Kent, OH; his children, Leon Wade of Ravenna, OH, Laymond Nelson (Ashley) of Sarasota, FL, Curtis Nelson Jr. (Robbie) of Akron, OH, Cameron of Akron, OH, Mary Nelson of Colorado and Courtney Mims (Erika) of Kent, OH; his siblings, Delores Nelson of Ravenna, OH, Donald F. Nelson (Geraldine) of Kent, OH and Jonita Clayton (Chuck) of Akron, OH; and his aunt Dr. Beatrice Nelson Brewer (Ted) of Chicago, IL. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
