He was predeceased by: his mother Ernestine Carey; his brothers, Milton Carey, Ernest Thomas and Sam Thomas; and his niece Tarkesta Landry.
He is survived by: his niece Niesha; his siblings, Carolyn Thomas, Joyce Thomas of Akron, OH, Jacqueline Thomas of Boston, MA and Willie Thomas (Linda) of Marriett, GA; and his close friend Jim "Charmaine" Tormey. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
