He was predeceased by: his parents, Elsie Allen (Miller) and Leander Allen; his wives, Stella M (Hochevar) and Betty J (Bowman); his siblings, Amanda Allen, Ethel Petherbridge, Landy, Earl and Don Allen; and his children, Lisa J Allen and Bradden J Messer.
He is survived by: his daughters, Cris (Bob Yehle), Mindy (Doug Arnold), Rozanne (Mike Emich) and Stephanie Allen (Bob Griffiths); his daughter-in-law Betty Messer; his daughter Lynda "Kelly" Johnson; his brother Lew (Mary); his granddaughter Kim Larsen; his great grandchildren, Ava and Graham; his grandsons, Michael Yehle (Jenn) and Eric Yehle (Tiffany); his great grandchildren, Isabell, Ella and Charlie; his grandson Bill Yehle (Beth); his great grandchildren, Brady and Avery; his grandson Jon Arnold (Ann); his great grandchildren, Addy and Olivia; his grandson Stephen Arnold (Jenn); his great grandchildren, Clare, Thomas and Amelia; his grandsons, Matt Arnold, Mitch Messer and Spencer Messer; his great grandchild Carson; his grandson Justin Messer; and his friend Butch Pahl. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
