With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carlos Shorter (Akron, Ohio), born in Glen Daniel, West Virginia, who passed away on December 13, 2022 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Hettie Shorter (Doreen) and Clyde Shorter; his son Bradley; and his siblings, Ruby, Carl and Alma.

He is survived by: his wife Eleanor Shorter; his sister Mary Utt; his children, Gary (Joyce), Douglas (Sandy), Mark (Debbie) and Carla Spears (Scott); and his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Amy, Robin, Monica, Dawn, Megan, Anna, Allison Spears and Josh Spears. He is also survived by many great grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews.
