He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Lange and Doris Lange; and his son Scot Allen Lange. He is survived by: his wife Heike Lange; his siblings, Edwin Lange and Tammie Engle (Phil); and his children, Tracy Justen (Brian), Shannon Milner (Tom), Christie Bixler (Glenn), Jason (Annette) and Chad Lange (Tracy). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Newcomer Funeral Home (131 N Canton Rd, Akron, OH 44305). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. The military honors was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 2:45 PM at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
