He was predeceased by: his parents, Sandor Varga and Julianna Varga (Kiraly); his wife Gizella; his daughter Kristina; and his sister Elizabeth Ferenci.

He is survived by: his son Balazs "Steve" (Pam); his grandchildren, Alex (Jen), Nick (Amanda) and Erika; his great grandchild Logan; and his son-in-law Greg Gale.
