She was predeceased by: her parents, Finnis Bowie and Hattie Bowie; her husband J. B. Miller; and her siblings, Pauline Hemphill, Linnie V. Kennedy, Cleophis Bowie, Adolfis Bowie, Lester Bowie, Saul T. Bowie and Albert Bowie.
She is survived by: her niece Alma Jean; her sons, Douglas of Akron, Ohio, Donnie (Justina) of Akron, Ohio and Glenn of Akron, Ohio; and her sister Lillian Peake. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great granddaughter.
