With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ann R. Pleasant (Akron, Ohio), who passed away on December 5, 2022 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Purnell and Mary Purnell; and her brother Norman Purnell. She is survived by: her husband Phillip Pleasant Jr.; her sister Janet Wilson of Mansfield, OH; her siblings-in-law, Abraham Pleasant (Sadie), Isaac Pleasant, Mary Gardner (late Phillip), Maxine Pleasant (late Earl) and Martha Gaston; her children, Cassandra Jones (Raymond) of Detroit, MI, Denise Rookard (Douglas) of Columbus, OH and Marcus Pleasant; and her grandchildren, DeJohn (Kari), Darrell, DeAndrea, Chayla, Devon (Cesily), DJuan, Bryien, Azariah and Philip. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
