He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Smith and Waneta Smith (Ayers); his sister Shirley Strickland; and his parents-in-law, Mumsy and Bernie Kingsinger.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn; his children, Brian (Shauna), Aaron Smith (Kelly) and Stacey Langenek (Tim); his grandchildren, Cody, Zack (Christina), Matthew, Cameron, Alex and Nate; and his siblings-in-law, Debbie Heller (Gary), Darlene Spadaro (Joe), Bernie Kingsinger (Gina) and Fred Strickland. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Summit County Humane Society.
