He is survived by: his wife Mary Ella (Weaver); and his children, Kathleen Schafer of Adena, Molly Williams (Ted) of Bellaire, Patricia A. Schafer of Cambridge, Roger J. Schafer (Beth) of Dewitt, John M. Schafer (Ellen) of Saratoga Springs and Rita Carroll (Tim) of Houston Texas. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
