He is survived by: his parents, Lawrence Barkhurst and Jo Ann Hayest Barkhurst; his wife Julie Zelinsky Barkhurst; his sister Kim Barkhurst; and his daughter Faith Barkhurst. He is also survived by brothers and sisters in-law, nieces and nephews.
