She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernard Joseph and Anna Victorine Wautlet Gerdau; her former husband Gerald Harrison Kelley; her husband Fred Thomas Petrel, Jr.; and her siblings, Maxine Barritt, Patricia Irwin, Sherman Thomas Gerdau and David Wayne Gerdau.
She is survived by: her children, William H. Kelley of Carthage, IL and Karen Louise Sonnenberg of Zanesville, OH; her grandchildren, Jeanette Marie Blalock, Damon Sonnenberg and Nina Sonnenberg; and her siblings, Gerald Gerdau of Shadyside, Walter Gerdau of Shadyside, Bernard D. Gerdau of Bellaire, OH and Cynthia Edwards of Michigan. She is also survived by four great grandchildren; two great-great grandsons.
