He was predeceased by: his parents, Pernie Spires and Elsie Spires (Fenton); his brothers, Virgil Robert and Jerry; and his granddaughter Briana Hughes.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia Spires (Nelson); his grandchildren, Amber, Jarrid, Cole, Vanessa, Shelby, Cassie, Heidi, Brian, Misty and Sarah; and his great grandchildren, Nevaeh, Ryleigh, Noah, Wyatt, Mikey, Lita, Collen, Carter, Elijah and Kimbri. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
