Shirley V. Whetzler Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley V. Whetzler of Ada, Ohio, who passed away on February 3, 2024, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Rayl and Katheryn Rayl (Businger); her husband Donald Whetzler; her daughter Kathleen Obenour; and her siblings, Waldo Rayl, Dan Rayl, David Rayl and Josephine Willeke.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Christopher Obenour (Jennifer) of Bellefontaine, Amelia Downing (Gary Short) of Bellefontaine, Shelia Smith (Gary) of Bellefontaine and Sam Obenour of Bellefontaine; her son-in-law Daniel B. Obenour; and her brothers, Wally Rayl (Jean), Gerald Rayl of Ada, Jerry Rayl (Alta) of Ada and Charles Rayl (Jan) of Lima. She is also survived by four great grandchildren, and eight great-great grandchildren.
