He was predeceased by: his parents, Phineas M. Dumond and Maxine Dumond (Piles); his children, Tonya Wright and Gerald Hastings; and his sister Betty Dumond.
He is survived by: his children, Ronald Nelson, Jr. (Lanora) of Ada, Jon Nelson (Jennifer) of Ada, Leslie Talarico (Frank) of Ft. Wayne, IN and Sandy Piehl of Westminster; and his sister Susan Eisel of Tennessee. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren.
