It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gene Edward Smith of Ada, Ohio, who passed away on March 27, 2024, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Smith and Maude Smith; his wife Loralee Stiefelmayer; his siblings, Bertram, Wilfred, Roger, Lowell, Jacob, Malcolm, Hildred, Alice and Mary; and his brother-in-law Eugen Steifelmayer.
He is survived by: his children, Brenda of Columbus, Wade of Dayton, Sheila Day (Rob) of London, England and Sylvia Newman (Todd) of Columbus; his granddaughters, Katie, Hannah and Sophie Day; and his sisters-in-law, Anna Marie Reboulet (Ralph) and Katherine Stiefelmayer. He is also survived by his numerous nieces and nephews.
