He was predeceased by: his parents, David W. Cottrell and Dorothy G. Cottrell (Winks); and his son Jason Cottrell. He is survived by: his wife Miriam R. Heyneman; his daughter Stacy Geedey (Boyd) of Ada; his grandchildren, Haley Sheriff (Seth), Lindsay Crouse and Michael Crouse; his great grandchild Zayne; and his siblings, David Cottrell (Amy) of Cridersville and Victoria Czysz (John) of Tucson, Arizona..

Attendance will be restricted at the funeral and visitation based on space to accommodate social distancing requirements.
