He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth C. Sherman and Mertis Sherman; his wife Betty Jo Gardner; his daughter Sonja; and his sister Mary.
He is survived by: his son Kenny Sherman (Nicci) of Ada; his stepchildren, Terry Boutwell (Dana) of Ada, Grover Boutwell of Roundhead, Ann Miller (Gary) of Lima, Donna Hefner of LaFayette and Monica Slater (Clark) of Michigan; and his sister Peggy Levine (Dave) of Florida. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.
