It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alex M. Sweigart (Ada, Ohio), born in Bluffton, Ohio, who passed away on June 29, 2020, at the age of 18, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his stepbrother Tyler Montgomery; and his grandparents, Robert L. and Carole Work. He is survived by: his parents, Robert M. Sweigart and Robin Tomasi (Work); his stepparents, Anne Sweigart and Donald Tomasi; his siblings, Lisa Oxley of Grove City and Adam Sweigart (Christian Anderson) of Ada; his nieces and nephews, Faith McElfresh (Grove City), Tina White, Mikayla Sweigart, William and Tobias Sweigart (Ada); his grandmother Janice Sweigart of Beaverdam; his stepgrandmother Cheryl Tomasi; his aunts and uncles, Rose Putnam of Arlington, Rebecca Hamann of Sullivan, Debra Kline (Josh) of Alger, Rodney Sweigart of Columbus, Robert L. Work (Ginny) of Spencerville and Bobby Tomasi of Lima; his cousins, Kayla Putnam (Kevin Balderson), Leeland, Harper Balderson, Derek Putnam (Allie), Nicole, Austin, Logan Kline, Serena, Matthew Salyers, Tiffany, Nathan Work, Bryce and Dayja Olive; his stepsiblings, Dane, Derek Riker, Danielle Ireland, Deanna Riker and Abbigail Hardy (Gerald); and his nieces, Dakota Holleger, Abigail Schmuck and Kaydence Montgomery.
Attendance will be restricted at the funeral and visitation based on space to accommodate social distancing requirements.
