He is survived by: his wife Rachel Farley Sweet; his children, Paige Doyle (Michael) of Brooksville, Brittany Riggins (Ian) of Augusta, Savannah Penrod of Aberdeen, Harlie Sweet of Mississippi, Landon Sweet of Mississippi and Mason Sweet of Mississippi; and his sister Vicki Gatrell of Ripley, Ohio.. He is also survived by seven grandchildren.
