It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas J. Fennessy of Yorktown Heights, New York, who passed away on December 8, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Fennessy and Julia Fennessy; his siblings, John, Maureen and Billy; his cousin Paddy Whelan; his brothers, Paddy and Mikey; his son Thomas John; his wife Rita; his children, Maureen Cooney of Croton, John Fennessy (Kim) and Sharon Fennessy of Yorktown Heights; his son-in-law Joseph Cooney; his grandchildren, Joseph Cooney (Rosemarie), Meghan Cooney (Frank Coppola), Danielle (Ricky Mancini), John (Hilary), Patrick and James; his great grandchildren, Aria, Olivia and Josephina; his siblings, Jimmy, Eileen (Long Island) and Catherine (Esther) of Yorktown Heights; and also Ireland. He was also cherished by 45 nieces, nephews, their spouses, children.
In recent years, with pandemic restrictions, they worshipped weekly on the Passionist Fathers' The Sunday Mass broadcast.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Franciscan Sisters of the Atonement, Graymoor, Garrison, NY 10524.
