It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Robert James Whalen (Yorktown Heights, New York), who passed away on October 29, 2023, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ethel Whalen and Sebastian Whalen; his brother Arthur Whalen; and his grandchildren, Snake, Lauren (Henry), Melissa, Dillon (Megan), Collin, Brooks Robert and Charlotte James.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Robert's name to either St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Tin Can Sailor Association: destroyers.org.
