Geraldine Caruso Obituary
Geraldine “Jean” Caruso passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Saturday, April 10, 2021, at the age of 91.
Geraldine was born in the Bronx in 1930 to Vita and Joseph Perretta. After High School, she went to work at the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company and worked there for over ten years. In 1957, she married Salvatore Caruso at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in the Little Italy section of the Bronx.
She was a long-time parishioner of Our Lady of Assumption Church in Pelham Bay, NY. Recently she was a parishioner at St Patrick’s Church in Yorktown Heights, NY.
Geraldine will be remembered as a woman of deep faith. She was also an excellent home maker. Her sumptuous Italian meals drew the family very close, and the holiday meals were legendary.
She is survived by her daughter Marisa (Daniel), her son Frank, her daughter Linda (Gerry), her seven grandchildren, Cristina (Steven), Shauna, Daniel (Merari), Katelyn, Salvatore, Jennifer (Michael) and Michael (Ellen), her great-grandchildren, Gabriella, Joseph, and Michael. She was predeceased by her husband Salvatore, her sister Kay and brothers Rocco and John.
Arrangements: Calling hours will be at Clark Funeral Home in Yorktown Heights, NY on Wednesday April 14, 2021 from 2 PM to 4 PM and from 7 PM to 9 PM. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Patrick’s Church in Yorktown Heights, on Thursday April 15, 2021 at 11:30am.
