We are sad to announce that on February 15, 2025 we had to say goodbye to David A. Smithies of Yorktown Heights, New York, born in Yonkers, New York. He was predeceased by: his parents, Allan C. Smithies and Thelma R. N. Smithies; and his sisters, Victoria E. S. Ake and Leslie M. S. Sweet. He is survived by: his wife Deirdre A.; his children, April Bassick (Mike), Tara Barrow (Jeffrey), Erin Smithies-Baker and Kevin Smithies; and his grandchildren, Eric Harvey, Andrew Harvey, Scott Harvey, Kelly Barrow, Ryan Barrow, Colden Baker and Keira Baker. He is also survived by brothers- and sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Clark & Giordano Funeral Home (2104 Saw Mill River Rd, Yorktown Heights, NY 10598). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 4:15 PM at the same location.
