He was predeceased by: his son John; and his parents, Salvatore and Julia. He is survived by: his wife Joanne Rose Pfeifer Leone (Cantalupo); his stepchildren, Christine Kaufmann, Kathryn Bittner, Robert Pfeifer (Ellen Kreger) and Patricia Pfeifer; his grandchildren, Justin John Kaufmann (Pfeifer), Samantha Rose Dewey (Pfeifer), Jonah Stark Pfeifer and Quinn Elias Pfeifer; and his great grandchild Maeve Joanne Dewey.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice in Rod's honor.
