He was predeceased by: his father Donald H. Johnson; his grandparents, Newell, Ida of Montana, Harold and Malvina Johnson; and his aunts and uncles, Doris (Steve Skapik), Clayton (Betty), Gladys (Howard "Bucky" Nellis), Ruth (Harry Polenski) and James (Katherine).
He is survived by: his wife Bonnie J. Johnson; his mother Helen M. Johnson (Montana) of Oppenheim, NY; his children, Heith Leavitt of Salisbury Center, NY, Joseph Johnson (Jennifer Mason) of Dolgeville, NY and Mindy Chrisman of Dolgeville, NY; his grandchildren, Alexandria Polidori, Felicia Leavitt, Christian Leavitt, Hannah Johnson, Owen Johnson, Olivia Wilmot, Elizabeth Wilmot, Hailey Dickson, Ethan Chrisman and Amber Chrisman; his siblings, Deborah Johnson of Maine, Alan Johnson (Nadine) of Oppenheim, NY and Kathie Walrath (Dean "Deano") of Dolgeville, NY; and his nephews, Jeremiah Johnson (Becky), Justin Johnson (Veronica Trumble), Kristopher Walrath (Tiffany) of Vermont, Corey Walrath (Jordan Godwin) and Kyle Walrath. He is also survived by several great nieces, great nephews and cousins.
