He was predeceased by: his children, Sylvia and Jeffrey; his siblings, Patrick, Melvin, Ralph, Paul, Beverly Sattleburg and Waneta Marino; and his son-in-law Michael Wood.
He is survived by: his wife Lydia; his children, Herbert Curtis Jr. (Ellen), John Curtis, Elizabeth Woods, Kathleen DeMarco (Tony), Thomas Curtis (Donna) and Brenda Henry; his brother James Curtis (Jackie); and his sister-in-law Becca Curtis. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren.
