It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George A. Burns Sr. of York, New York, born in Syracuse, New York, who passed away on February 17, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his sons, John David Burns and George "Butch" Burns Jr.; his stepsons, David "Coot" Cuozzo and Stephen Cuozzo Sr.; his granddaughter Brittany Burns; his sister Eileen Lougee; and his parents, John Burns and Genevieve McDonald Burns.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Ann Burns; his daughter Kelly Burns Russo of Troy, NY; and his stepchildren, Richard Cuozzo Jr. of Cuylerville, Brenda McCormick of Avon, Kelly Cuozzo of Leicester and Joanne Cuozzo of Greigsville. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
