It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Betty Hay of York, New York, born in Middletown, New York, who passed away on July 28, 2021, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Smedes and Elizabeth Vernol Smedes; her brother George "Skip" Smedes; and her husband William Hay. She is survived by: her daughters, Shelly Green (Lee Bradshaw) of Rogersville, TN, Joanne Parker (Jacob) of Drums, PA and Dorothy Fiore (James) of Youngsville, NY; and her siblings, Clarence "Eddie" Smedes of Wallkill, NY, Joan Henry of Middletown, NY and Anna Mae Yates (Chuck) of Sarasota, FL. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
