She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward B. Vann and Annie Elizabeth Barnes Vann; her husband Louis Lee Hinton; and her brother Edward B. Vann. She is survived by: her children, Walter Vann Hinton (Christine) of Durham, Louann Kitchell (Richard) of Blowing Rock, NC, Sara Huber (Dale) of Wake Forest and David Hinton; her sister-in-law Betty Hinton Goodson of Henderson, NC; and her grandchildren, Dr. Whitney Kitchell Smith (Chris) of Boulder and Dr. Erica Kitchell Wiedl (Mike) of Stafford.
