He is survived by: his wife Margarita Ruiz (Margara); and his children, Eduardo (Edwin), Roberto (Coco), William (Billy), Migdalia (Yaya) and José Orlando (Oli). He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren.
