We are sad to announce that on January 2, 2025, at the age of 85, Mary Theresa Gilligan (Yonkers, New York) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph and Mary; and her siblings, Michael, Dennis Sammon and Bridie O'Malley.
She is survived by: her husband Michael; her children, John, Michael (Lynn Marie O'Flaherty) and Ann Marie; her grandchild Jamie Lynn; and her siblings, Betty Queally, Josie Mahon, Maggie Malone and Joseph Sammon. She is also survived by 12 nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hodder Farenga Funeral Home (899 McLean Ave, Yonkers, NY 10704). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Paul the Apostle Church (602 McLean Ave, Yonkers, NY 10705). A burial was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 from 11:45 AM to 12:45 PM at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery (10 W Stevens Ave, Hawthorne, NY 10532).
