He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Acciavatti and Maria Gauthier. He is survived by: his stepmother Alice Rose; his wife Nancy; his children, Thomas Acciavatti, Christopher Acciavatti, Peter Acciavatti, Patricia Viole, Jennifer Dickson and MaryAnn Schoenig; his grandchildren, Zac, Madison, Skylar, Zoe, Parker, Easton, Finn, James, McKenna and John; and his siblings-in-law, Marybeth, Steve Babcock, Joanne Vecchione, Christine, Fritz Mueller, Terese, Gary Ghio, Karin Paulus, Jimmy and JeanAnn Paulus.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Memorial Sloan Kettering, Dr. Hakimi's Research, an organization that supported John in his battle against kidney cancer.
