We are sad to announce that on September 21, 2024, at the age of 99, Helen Homa (Yonkers, New York) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let her loved ones carry forward the torch of her memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of her love and the brilliance of her spirit. Though Helen may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, her essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
She was predeceased by: her husband Walter; her siblings, Mary (Gawchik), John Jr., Thomas, Ann (Harrilchak) and Andrew; and her sister-in-law Mary Resetar.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 25th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home (168 Park Ave, Yonkers, NY 10703). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 26th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Holy Trinity Orthodox Church (46 Seymour St, Yonkers, NY 10701). A burial will be held on Thursday, September 26th 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Mount Hope Cemetery (50 Jackson Ave, Saw Mill River Rd, Hastings-On-Hudson, NY 10706).
