She was predeceased by: her sister Beryl; and her nephew Ruddy (Georgia). She is survived by: her sister Sylvia; her nieces and nephews, Devon, Yvonne (Fredrick), Alton (Susan), Shireen, Janice and Athol (Tess); her great-nieces and great-nephews, Yolanda, Kryshna (Christopher), Darryl, Shalaiwah, Kristof, Crystal, Naseef, Danae, Cherie (Carvin), Jahmin (Natasha), Aleem (Rebecca), Kamel and Shanelle; and also, Sade, Kash, Damitri, Landyn, Shanniah, Laylah, Grayson, Mishyia, Chase, Matthew, Dwight, Ethan, Noah, Isaiah, Elijah, Gabrielle and Isabella.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM at the Funeral Home & Cremation Services (732 Yonkers Ave, Yonkers, NY 10704). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the Mount Hope Cemetery (50 Jackson Ave, Hastings-On-Hudson, NY 10706). A repast will be held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM at the Fairways (1 Wasylenko Ln, Yonkers, NY 10701).
In recent years, she assumed the position of sidekick and constant companion to her late sister Beryl, as she struggled with Alzheimer's until her death in 2023 at age 91.
