Beatrice Vogel Obituary

Vogel. Beatrice, nee Picone, passed into eternal rest on 6 January 2013 at the age of 91. She was the beloved wife of the late Roland Vogel for 57 years following their marriage on 11 November 1944 in St. Denis Church. Survived by their five children: Kathleen (Bob) Nittolo, Ellen (Frank) Manopoli, Marianne Vogel, Robert (Silvana) Vogel, and James Vogel; nine grandchildren: Alyssa Nittolo, Jennifer Vogel, Robert Vogel, Erin Vogel, Stephanie Vogel, Rob Vogel, Paul Vogel, Theresa Vogel, and Jason Morrissey; and two great grandchildren.

Also survived by sister, Lucille Brennan. Pre-deceased by her parents, Marian (Barca) Picone and Joseph Picone; sisters and brothers: Eugenia Bello, Anthony Picone, Sarah Cincotta, Anne Palisi, Catherine Buonora, Josephine Picone, John Picone, Joseph Picone, Loretta Vizioli, Thomas Picone, and Gregory Picone. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Bea was known for her generous spirit and love of God, family and friends. She was a graduate of St. Denis School, Blessed Sacrament Academy, and Alverna Institute. Following her graduation from Alverna and prior to her marriage, she was employed by a financial institution in Manhattan and was an active member of St. Denis Parish and the St. Denis Mothers" Club.

Bea will be lovingly remembered by all who knew her. Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 8 from 7 to 9 PM and Wednesday, January 9 from 2 to 4 PM and 7 to 9 PM at Flynn Memorial Home, (1652 Central Park Avenue), Yonkers, NY 10710. (914) 963-5178.
