With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Albertina Vaz Fragoso of Yonkers, New York, who passed away on August 12, 2024 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Antonio D'Ascenҫão and Teresa Serafin Vaz; and her brother José Luis Ascenҫão. She is survived by: her husband Luciano Fragoso; her son Carlos A. Vaz Fragoso (Jolanta Stec Fragoso) of Newtown; her grandchildren, Christopher Fragoso of Newtown, CT, Anthony Fragoso of Lebanon, NH and Katherine Fragoso of Los Angeles, CA; and her sisters, Elvira Vaz Ascenҫão, Encarnaҫão Guerra and Elene Medeiros. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives & friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Columba Church.
