He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis W. O'Brien and Grace L. Grosso O'Brien; his granddaughter Erin O'Brien; his sister Charlotte Newton; and his foster mother Dorothy Walczak.
He is survived by: his wife Joy A. Gronowski O'Brien; his daughters, Sandra Jones (Darrell) of Silver Springs, Joy Stiles (Jim) of Wyoming, Brandi McCready (Kristopher) of Perry, Kelsey O'Brien of Warsaw and Jenna O'Brien of Warsaw; his grandchildren, Austin, Alyssa Jones, Jaacob Farraro, Shawn Johannes and Wesley Knitter; his siblings, Kevin O'Brien of Warsaw, Bill O'Brien of Alabama, Leonard Gill (Mary Lou) of California, Vito Grosso of North Carolina, Dennis Gill of Georgia, Dan Walczak (Leslie) of Warsaw, Vicki Walczak and Cynthia Andrews (Lee); and his foster father Thomas Walczak of Wethersfield. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
