He was predeceased by: his parents, Roger "Jack" and Gertrude Miller Appleton; his child Shawn Appleton; his grandson Jonathon Appleton; and his brother Joseph Appleton.
He is survived by: his children, Roger Appleton (Nancy) of Bolivar, Keith Appleton (Rocio) of Gulf Breeze, Fla., Gary Appleton (Cynthia) of Warsaw and Debi Hale (Eric) of Mt. Morris; his siblings, Betty Thomas (Jerry) of Holcomb, Pauline Adkinson Appleton of Canandaigua, James Appleton (Sonia) of Caledonia and Gordon Appleton of Wyoming; his sister-in-law Tammy Appleton; his grandchildren, Ryan Appleton (Tiffany) of Bethpage, Joshua Appleton (Jenny) of Carlsbad, NM, Gregory Appleton (Amber) of Colorado Springs, CO, Rachel Beck (Dave) of Perry, Peter Appleton (Jennifer) of Warsaw, Samantha Fahey of Mt. Morris and Jamie Hale of Mt. Morris; and his brother Kenneth Appleton. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and so many friends.
